Detailed evaluation is needed. Could be neuropathic pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

Muscle pain is a common complaint and diffuse muscle pain is medically known as myalgia. It can have multiple causes thus detailed evaluation is needed to find out what exactly causing this pain.
Since you don't have any pain on your joints, we can rule out osteoarthritis(OA) which is quite common among elderly.
Majority cases are short lived and are non specific. It can happen following an episode of viral fever or strenuous physical activity, these are harmless and resolve well with conservative management. As a first line management, you can try simple analgesics like ibuprofen or diclofenac for few days and take absolute bed rest for couple of days. Most cases resolve well with this. If pain persist despite this, more evaluation is needed.

The other possible differential are, (1) fibromyalgia and (2) neuropathic pain. Both are fairly common among elderly women. You need additional investigations like MRI scan to look for any spine related condition.
You don't need tlo worry regarding this as it can be effectively treated by timely and proper treatment. I suggest you to consult a physiatrist(a doctor who specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation) for detailed evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
