What Causes Severe Pain In The Breast And Under The Arm?

Question: Yes please i hope so when i woke up this morning my left side from left brest and below hurt terribly all the way under my armpit and some around to back and sholder blade. I was thinking maybe a colappsed lung or possibly Pleurisy. Hurts when i take a deep breath and really bad when i cough. Hard to lay back or on side.i do have COPD so im fairly breathless already. please advise. Thank you!

Hi,

I have reviewed your information fully. I am of the opinion that you slept in a poor posture. Pleurisy or lung problems develop slowly over time and not spontaneously. I will recommend tylenol only and monitor. If you develop any fevers, increased breathlessness, kindly keep me informed.

I ended up going to Urgent Care, I have a condition called COSTOCONDREITIS. inflamed cartilidge around my ribs. probably brought on by a cold. other reasons not known. Thank you for answering. have a good Holiday
