Brief Answer:
One probable cause is Occipital Neuralgia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

In my opinion, a probable cause of your headache is Occipital Neuralgia or compression of nerves that supply back and top of the head, and arise from upper portion of the neck.

Its diagnosis is mainly clinical.

Another cause to consider about your condition is hypertension headache ( headaches from episodes of high blood pressure) and has a vascular origin.

I suggest you to consult a Neurologist and discuss above mentioned possibilities of your concerns.

Hope this helped. If you have further questions feel free to ask.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
