Question: During my period I often experience severe pain in my bellybutton, hips, and inside my butt; is this normal or something I should worry about?

During the periods, the uterus contractions is experienced as painful from most of the females. The same nerves pass within all the body organs. As these nerves are giving the pain sensation due to uterus contraction, that pain is felt inside all the abdominal organs.

That's why you are feeling pain in your bellybutton, hips, and inside your butt. That is perfectly normal during the periods. If you feel the pain outside the periods, then, this is a case for further investigations.
