Brief Answer: Get blood tests done. Detailed Answer: Hi, CRP is a non specific marker of inflammation. We cannot arrive at a diagnosis based on CRP values alone. I understand you have severe aches at multiple joints. Therefore I would order for serum uric acid, fasting blood sugar, E.S.R and radiological tests before starting your treatment. Your local orthopedic surgeon will know about these tests. I also want to know whether you have evening rise of temperature, loss of appetite or weight loss. It would be worthwhile to get yourself examined by a competent orthopedic and plan the aforementioned tests. Hope it helps. You are welcome to ask further health related queries. Thanks Dr.Singh.
