What Causes Severe Jaw Pain After Induction Of Anesthesia?

Question: I just was at the dentist and had a deep cleaning. They gave me 3 injections (numbing) in the back of my mouth in my jaw. Its been 2 hours and the bad in my jaw not my teeth is a 7-8/10 and it causing a bad headache by my temple on the side the injection was at. It hurts the swollow. I just took 1000mg of tylenol and about to take 600mg of ibu. I have ice pack on it. What is this and what else can i do for this if it worsens as the numbing wears off?

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain in case if the pain worsen after wearing off of the effect of the anaesthesia then you can take higher painkillers like Tramadol or Ketorolac..
They help in relieving severe pain..

But in case if there is no relief with pain medication too then you need to consult your Dentist and get evaluated..

As of now you can continue taking Ibuprofen as it is suitable for relieving moderate pain.
