Question: I had a hip pinning 4 weeks ago. For the past week there has been constant pain ( 7 ) and if I place my hand on my hip I can feel the grinding and pain goes up. Constant back and groin pain. Could it be failing?

Brief Answer:
Repeat x rays are reqd to check the position.

Detailed Answer:
Hi , I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
If you have pain starting 3 weeks after surgery , then certainly it is not normal. Feeling of grinding can sometimes be normal if the pains are little longer or if you are thin built.
I suggest repeat x rays to check the position of pins ,if they are in normal position or are failing. It could be failing.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
