Brief Answer:
Hereis some information about feet sweating.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Feet can sweat for a variety of reasons including heredity, the type of footwear you use, and anxiety. When feet are both cold and sweaty, anxiety is more of a possibility but it is hard to make an exact diagnosis without a more complete history and exam. But this can give you some ideas to think on.

Here are some suggestions for keeping your feet from sweating:
- Wear shoes that allow your feet to breathe, and avoid shoes made of rubber or plastic.
- Dry your feet thoroughly after bathing or getting them wet. Use a hairdryer after towel drying to ensure that they are dry. You can also put an antiperspirant on the bottom of your feet after they are dry.
- Wear synthetic socks instead of nylon, or 100% cotton.
- Wash your feet daily.
- Change your socks at least once a day.
- Alternate which shoes you wear to allow them to completely dry out between uses.

If the sweating is extreme, you can talk with your doctor about a topical medication for sweaty hands and feet called Drysol.

Moisture on any part of the body that isn't meant to be moist can lead to odor. It can also lead to fungal infections. With the feet, a fungal infection is commonly called athlete's foot. So if treating the sweating problem does not also make the bad smell go away, or if the skin is also itchy and flaky, consider treating for a fungal infection with an anti fungal topical medication. You can get one of these at any pharmacy or drug store without prescription.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you!
