What Causes Severe Ear Pain And Head-cold?

default
Posted on Tue, 16 Dec 2014
Question: I suffered severe ear pain on landing in consecutive long-haul flights 3 days ago. I had commenced getting head-cold that same morning. Pharmacist sold me Candibiotic ear drops, Actifed and Almetamin.
Mucous has cleared but ear is still a problem, not with pain but with deafness and some crackling. I am not able to acces a doctor readily.
IS IT OK TO CONTINUE WITH SOME OR ALL OF THESE MEDICATIONS PLEASE?

Brief Answer:
No use of candibiotic ear drop in your case

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
I have gone through your query; and suggests you that there is no need of candibiotic ear drops instead of this drop use nasal decongestant nasal drops such as otrivin two drops three times a day with steam inhalation three times a day for atleast five minutes.

Continue other medications.

Thanks.
