Question: I have the flu and severe dysentery and chest congestion, I am normally very healthy and take annual flu shots, can I take amoxcillin 500 for this? I have had knee replacement surgery and have
Plenty of amoxcillin.

I am so sorry to hear about these flu symptoms? B dysentery do you mean blood in stool? This is not typical of flu. If there is blood in your stool, I will suggest that you get a stool examination for this.

Amoxicillin is not a good drug for flu. Flu is managed by drinking much water, eating enough fruits and vegetables, exercising often and have enough rest. All would get over within 7-10days. You do not need antibiotics for flu.
