Brief Answer:
carbamezepine, tamulosin and adderal have this side effect

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Tamulosin, carbamezepine and adderall can each cause dry mouth though it is a rare side effect.
Dry mouth itself cause the increased thirst.

It is unlikely that any new evaluating doctor would suggest discontinuation of the meds since he is not a long term patient. (unless his symptoms are severe).

Short term treatment methods would include treatmets: I(such as chewing sugarless gum or sugar free hard candies.
These would stimulate saliva production and keep the mouth moist

(2)reduce the use of any caffeine products since also cause drying to occur

(3)reduce smoking if this is an issue

If there is no improvement or the symptoms worsen, then the medication may need to be altered by a doctor

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
