What Causes Severe Dizziness And High BP?
Question: I had a sudden severe spinning sensation while sitting three days ago. I could not more or breath for about 10-15 seconds. I checked my blood pressure afterwards and got an extremely high reading which I immediately checked again and was found normal. I have had an intermittent slight tearing sensation in my chest. I am due to travel for 3 weeks in the next two days.

The pressure reading I got was 238/161 (pulse 72) which I immediately rechecked and got 134/88 (pulse 71). Don't know whether the high reading was an error. I have had a Meniere's diagnosis in the past, but this episode was more severe than previously. My BP today is 119/71 (pulse 76) and feel fine. I have a primary doctor who I am scheduled to see when I return.
