What Causes Severe Burning Sensation In Thigh?

Question: Hi. Started experiencing a burning sensation that goes away and comes back. lasts a minute and leaves a hot sensation almost feels like a bee sting. this is on my right thigh and my thigh is very tender. skin hurts when clothes rub or when I walk. There are no visible marks or bumps or discoloration. What could this be?

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

If the burning sensation and affected area of skin is located at outside part of the thigh, your symptoms are more likely to be related to meralgia paresthetica, a condition where one of nerves that supply outer side of the thigh, is compressed or damaged during its pathway.

Predisposition factors include trauma, wearing tight clothes, being overweight etc.

It is necessary to consult with your primary care Doctor and to discuss about above mentioned possibilities.
