Question: I have scab-like outbreakes or sores on my scalp. The oldest such outbreak was a solitary sore, with me for 15 to 20 years; During those years it did not get bigger or smaller ( about the size of a dime). That solitary sore also remained quiet and did not spread elsewhere or itch. However, about a year ago, that sore diminished in color (paler and less reddish). It slowly reduced its diameter, and appears to be going away. However, a second outbreak or sore appeared on the other side of my scalp and has grown to a diameter of a dime, and remains reddish and has a thickness of a dime or nickel; No itching is associated.
