What Causes Redness On The Foreskin Of Penis After Unprotected Oral Sex?

default
Posted on Fri, 14 Apr 2017
Question: I've developed a redness on the foreskin. When I pull it back to wash it, some discomfort is felt. There is a slight white cheesy-like substance on the head of the penis, which is reducing to very slight in past days. I applied an anti-fungal cream, Clotrimazole and Polysporin which reduces the redness and discomfort when the foreskin is pulled back to pee or wash. No discomfort when I pee. I have had unprotected oral sex 2 weeks ago.

Please see the detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! thank you writing here in healthcaremagic.

It is a good news that you have improvement after the treatment.
Based on your concern I think that this is genital yeast(candida).
You should know that early symptoms of a penile yeast infection often include a red rash and sometimes white, shiny patches on the penis( as you had) and the skin on the penis may be moist, and a thick white substance may be found under the foreskin or other folds of skin. You may also experience itching and a burning feeling on your penis.
One of the most common causes of a penile yeast infection is unprotected sexual intercourse with a woman who has a vaginal yeast infection but not unprotected oral sex.
Some factors can make you vulnerable to a yeast infection like poor hygiene, being uncircumcised ,prolonged use of antibiotics, as well as having diabetes or being obese.
So, I need to know related your other health problem.

I hope my answer helps you.
I wish you a good health.
Regards.
