What Causes Reddish White Bumps In The Pelvic Area Post Intercourse?

default
Posted on Sat, 19 Dec 2015
Question: Hello. About two weeks ago a reddish/white bump appeared on my pelvis area. This bump appeared about 3 to 4 days after having sex. Ever since I've had the bump, my genital area has been really itchy. I went to 2 medical clinics and at both clinics the STD results came back negative. What could I possibly have?

Brief Answer:
Maybe unrelated to the activity

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to this site!

I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Sr Consultant Dermatologist.

I have noted the details and would share my opinion to help you.

I think that problem may or may not be related to the said activity. It seems that there is some element of infection and has itching as an additional feature.

Under such circumstances, I advise my patients to consider following measures:

1 Maintain a high level of hygiene

2 Refrain from sexual activity for the time being

3 Antibiotics like Linezolid 600 twice a day, antiallergic like Levocetirizine 5mg a day, and suitable anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day.

4 Get the blood sugar levels ascertained

5 Ask and ensure that your partner too is treated, in case there is some infection.

It would be very helpful for both of us, to share info on following points

---Such episodes in the past
---Fever, lymph node enlargement
---urinary infection
---results of tests
---exact location, number, and details of lesion(pic preferred)

Once I get more info, I will immediately write back to you about the next suggested course.

Best wishes, always!

Thank you for your prompt reply.

-This is the first time I have ever experienced anything like this.

-I haven't had any fever or lymph node enlargement.

-To what I am aware of, I do not have a urinary infection.

- I tested negative for the following tests: chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, and syphilis.

- It seems I only have one white bump. It's located on my pelvis area near my stomach. I would like to send a picture, but I do not know how to using this reply messaging box.

The pic sent has been received. It has been useful to interpret the details.

The latest situation favors not taking any additional action, unless some adverse even unfolds (unlikely).
