Question: I am a 25 yr old working woman, 2 days back I noticed few red dots (like mosquito bite) on my left breast, it was like cluster of 5 to 6 red dots, slight swollen, as I said before like mosquito bite. I have never seen suh marks before on my breast and hence bit worried if I need to gt thia checked up? Could you please advice on this? Can this be any symptom or initial stages of breast cancer? Or m I worrying for no reason. Please note I do not have any itching or pain on the spots. Thanks

Brief Answer:
insect bite

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I understand your health concern.
It cannot be cancer because as you stated in your history they all appeared together and suddenly; over and above you are Young in age so cancer is unlikely.
It is most probably an insect bite or some abrasion with something lying on bed while sleeping.
Just apply neosporin ointment on it twice a day and see for a couple of days
If the lesions decrease in size and vanish eventually there is nothing to worry but in case they increase in size or start itching or become painful then visit a dermatologist at the earliest.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
see detailed description

Detailed Answer:
Symptoms of breast cancer are very subtle and is most commonly a lump felt on breast self examination.
Only some patients have discharge from nipple PR a local induration of the skin covering the cancer area with itching over the same.
Risk factors are many like unmarried women or women with no children, smoking, estrogen intake, diabetes or history of PCOD.

In case suspicious of cancer then a FNAC (fine needle aspiration and cytology) is done.
It is almost painless a procedure and the tissue or cells obtained ate tested microscopically for evidence of cancerous changes.
