Thank for your prompt reply. I have just noticed it, I believe it has been there for a day or two. It is flat and not tender on touch. There are no similar spots on my body. No discomfort or itching present at the moment. I can't remember any recent contact with chemicals or wearing new shoes.

Brief Answer:
Wait and watch to subside it by itself.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the quick follow-up.

In this case,if there is no itching or pain or discomfort or chemical stain, it might be due to small insect bite which could have gone unnoticed.

Here,I would advise you to wait and watch for 3 or 4 days to get it subsided by itself or you can take antihistamines like cetrizine 10 mg twice daily which will be available over the counter.

So,there will be no requirement of any definitive treatment here.Do not worry.
