Brief Answer:
need some details to guide you better

Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & I will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

Most common cause for itchy rash on penis includes herpes & candidiasis. Is there rash other than on the penis? As you have already been tested for STDs and it came out to be negative so most probably you could be having candidiasis infection. It requires some antifungals like ketoconazole or miconazoles.

These are prescription drugs so I would suggest you to visit a dermatologist at a hospital near your area. He will examine the rash and will prescribe then.

Meanwhile following general care will help to reduce the itch & severity:
> levocetirizine tab one at night for itch
> keep genital area clean & DRY. To keep it dry is an important factor in fungal infection as fungus grows in moist area. So keep it dry after washing.
> Avoid sex till you become healthy again. Even of you want to do then use condom.
> Take plenty of fluids including water & fresh fruit juices.
> Do not unnecessarily touch the rash.
> Wash hands thoroughly after you come in contact with rash.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.

Wishing you good health !!

Brief Answer:
Yes, fungal infection relapse may occur

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for getting back with the query.

First of all, I would suggest you to relax. As you came out to be Negative for STD & HIV as well as for NGU, so remain calm. Yes, fungal infection can occur again because of multiple reasons.

Few include:
> Inadequate initial treatment
> Affected sexual partner
> Keeping area moist till complete recovery.

All these factors may cause relapse. I would suggest you to visit a dermatologist for fungal test & examination. If it is confirmed then strictly follow the advise (as mentioned earlier) and treatment plan. Antihistamine like levocetirizine one at night will help you to relieve itch.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it. Feel free to contact me directly on HCM by visiting http://goo.gl/fxj9bG

Brief Answer:
Both medicines are for allergy; yes do visit tertiary care hospital.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the query.

Yes, both these medicines are for allergy and in most of the patients they give good results. If its a chronic allergy problem then montelukast once daily for one month will also help in preventing the allergic response(apart from the medicine given by your physician). As you are suffering since last 4 months so I Would suggest you to visit a tertiary care hospital and get an appointment for an urologist &/or a dermatologist. Both will examine you in detail to rule out the cause by detailed examination and lab workup.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.

Wishing you good health !!
