Brief Answer:
Apply Lotrimin antifungal ointment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

The recurring red rash is suggestive of persistent fungal infection.Apply Lotrimin over the counter ointment on the affected area for 2 weeks.

Keep the area clean and dry
Wear loose fitting breathable cotton undergarments
Avoid too much sweating. You can use a and d ointment as a moisture barrier.
Clean the area with soap and water twice daily
Change undergarments at least twice daily.

I have used moisture barriers such as desitin or critic aid ointment !!! Doesnt get messy on clothes... does a & d have different ingredients than those? My underwear are never wet either... i rinse skin with water in morning and use soap at night! So i do keep skin clean! Do u think soap helps than just plain water in morning! I try not to sweat but the job requires physically moving!!! I take everything off after work and shower but still returns!! Does a& d prevent fungal/yeast growth?

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

A and D OINTMENT contains vitamin A,D and E
It is milder and do not cause skin irritation.
It soothens and prevents moisture locking in skin thereby promoting skin healing and prevent fungal infections. But you have to apply Lotrimin cream for 2 weeks to clear up any persisting infection.
Since you sent during work, wear loose fitting cotton undergarments only. Washing with soap and water twice daily will help.

Hello again! I just wondered if fungal infection comes back in future... should i use lotrimin for 2 wks always to be certain its gone? Also are there any creams etc on the market that can be used daily without harming the skin or perhaps a antifungal soap that works? Thanks again!!! XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

You can use Lotrimin up to 8 weeks for recurring fungal infection of skin.It is not advisable to use antifungal creams continuously for more than 8 weeks. However, if the injection is recurring even after that, then oral antifungal treatment will be needed.
