Brief Answer:
"Calcinosis cutis":totally benign & simple condion

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome again tot he forum and thanks a lot for sending the details as well as the picture.

After analyzing the picture and the details, I can make out that the condition is "Calcinosis cutis". TO tell you simply and medically the condition occurs due to deposition of calcium in the skin. It is a totally benign and simple condition and elbows are the common site for the same. It can occur on skewed site as in your son or can occur at multiple other sites too.

The yellowish appearance is not due to pus but is calcium deposits which give its unique color. You can find that when you touch the area then are not soft but are firm to hard in appearance.

As this is totally simple and benign condition, so in general doesn’t require any treatment. But even if you want complete clearance then I suggest you to meet a dermatologist for the removal by radiofrequency ablation.

I hope this information will help and relax you. I will be glad to guide you any further.

With regards,
