What Causes Recurring Itching In Groin Area?
Question: Hi,
I've been suffering from severe itching in the groin areas. This is a recurring problem. I was advised to take terbinafine tablets after breakfast and candiforce 200 tabs post dinner. I was also asked to apply ebernet cream. I've been using them for the last 2.5 weeks and there's no sign of improvement. Itching keeps recurring..please help me out with this..!

I have reviewed the attached photograph though it is not very clear.
I can appreciate slight redness in the attached pictures.
In such cases I recommend my patients to apply cream containing combination of Clobetasol propionate and miconazole on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
This is usually continued for 2-3 weeks to see response.
These are prescription medicines and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

Thank you doctor. I live in the UK and i just want to know if daktarin ointment is okay along with cetrizine tablets? Also do i have to use cetrizine tablets for the whole of 2-3 weeks?
