Brief Answer:
Can be tendonitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain between the last two toes that is intense intermittently can be due to tendonitis or a mild injury in the area. Strapping the last two toes can help in immobilizing the area and providing relief. It is best to avoid all painful movements and use sandals for a few days instead of shoes. You can take a mild pain killer after meals and consult an orthopedician for proper examination in case the pain is persistent.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
