What Causes Recurrent Migraine Headaches?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Jul 2014
Question: I have had Migraine headaches all my life, but they subsided in my 20's. I'm now in my 40's and the headaches have returned. I took Fiorinal #3 for the most part to keep them under control, but was wondering if it would still work. I was also wondering if you ship the actual medicine, or just sent the prescription.

Brief Answer:
Better medications available to treat migraines

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help.

Fiorinal (active ingredients caffeine, butalbital, aspirin) is primarily used to treat tension headaches, and is not as effective as some other migraine-specific medications (eg. propanolol, sumatriptan, etc.), but if at all the migraine headaches are mild, this medication will certainly still help.

As for shipping of the medication and a prescription, our site is mainly used for the purpose of providing expert advice sir. An online prescription would not be wise as a doctor is not able to examine the patient physically (which is the first rule we learn in medical school), 'no physical examination, no prescription to be given'. Based on the information provided by individuals from across the globe our team of doctors provide the way forward or suspected diagnosis to individuals who need it.

I am sorry to inform you sir, that we cannot provide you a prescription or ship out the medications to you. But we are always here to advice you on whatever information it is, that you need. As given above by me, there are better medications to tackle a migraine headache.

I hope you find my response helpful sir. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.

Best wishes.
