What Causes Radiating Heat Across The Chest?

default
Posted on Mon, 26 Sep 2016
Question: My sister just called. She has a cardioverter/defibrolator. She has had a feeling of radiating heat across her chest, followed by intense dizziness. She went to the emergency room and her heart was fine. On August first her defibrillator went off 11 times and she was very frightened. She had been taken off her meds (after an ablation). She was stabilized within 24 hours. Now she is back on meds but is having these feelings of heat across her chest followed by shortness of breath and dizziness. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Need to under go defibrillator interrogation

Detailed Answer:
She needs to have defibrillator interrogation That will tell us wether shocks are appropriate or inappropriate. If the shocks are appropriate than we need work around cause for increased arrhythmia, modify medications or change and consider further ablation or revascularisation but if inappropriate we may need to change ICD parameters.
