Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Thanks for coming over to HealthCareMagic! Am happy to help you.

Could you do me a favor and tell me a bit more about this cold?

1. With what symptoms did it start?
2. How has it progressed?
3. What have you taken for it so far?

Any detail you can give me would be helpful,

Generally, cold and Flu like symptoms are manifestations of a viral infection. But, viral infections rarely last mpre than 10 days at the most. 30 days makes me believe that this may be more than a simple cold.

To figure this out, you will need some testing and medication.

Blood and Urine tests are important:
1) CBC
2) Blood Culture
3) Urinalysis
4) Liver and Kidney function tests

An ultrasound of the abdomen will be useful to rule out any kidney or gall bladder issues.

So I would recommend those tests, but the more history you give me, the more I can refine what needs doing.
A course of Broad Spectrum Antibiotics, like Levofloxacin, is generally very effective in dealing with a respiratory or Urinary tract infection. You would need a prescription for such medication though. Making an appointment to see your Primary Care doc could be useful.

I hope this helps, I look forward to your answers,

Vinay
