What Causes Pressure Near The Bridge Of The Nose After Cataract Surgery?

default
Posted on Thu, 18 Dec 2014
Question: After cataract surgery in September I have pressure at top of nose on either side near my eyes. Eye doc says it has to be sinus infection. ENT doc says, he doesn't think so. I took antibiotics for 10 days with no change in symptoms. Pressure is greatest during bright light and in daytime. Lessens in darkness and more humidity.

Brief Answer:
Investigation needed like CT Scan Paranasal sinus

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Sinus pain or anterior ethmoidal neuralgia is present on either side of nose but will have no relation to light .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advise that you do get an investigation like a CT Scan Paranasal sinus to rule out any sinus infection or anterior ethmoidal neuralgia .

Hope it is helpful to you . If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
