Brief Answer:
Check for endometrial thickness

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about menstruation postmenopausal. Some women experience body and joint pain before menstruation. Besides this, I am not sure if the joint pain/swelling is related to 1 day period. Having said that, the following is my reply:

1) Please ask your doctor to have a look at your cervix and see if there is bleeding from cervix.

2) Also request doctor for an ultrasound examination to be ordered so that your endometrium can be examined to see if there is increased thickness.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
