Brief Answer:
treat the cuse if possible

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
There are many reasons for polyneuropathy. The most common causes are diabetes, thyroid disorders, vitamin B12, B6 deficiencies. Other causes are certain drugs, toxins, enviromental causes etc. Tick bite can also cause it rarely.
It is important to find the cause, so that undelying cause could be treated . However, for past tick infestation, we can not do anything now. We hae to symptomaticlly treat neuropathy with Gabapetin, Pregabalin or Duloxetine.

I am interested in Food as medicin as well, are there anything to help rebuilding myelin or inhibit the process?

Brief Answer:
Food

Detailed Answer:
Plasmapheresis and immunoglobulin etc are useful in specefic types of neuropathies like GB syndrome and Demyelinating polyneuropathies.
The drugs which I mentioned may cause drowsiness and giddiness in some people .

There is no specific food. But a mixture of good food rich in antioxidants and vitamins will help like green leafy vegetables and fruits
