What Causes Pimples On Face And Chest?

Question: I m 27 year old female, mother of a 2 year old. my skin is by birth dry. but on my face and chest I do get pimples. the skin on my face I think is a combination type. my skin is pimple prone. also I do have pcod. what kind of cleanser and moisturiser do I have to use to reduce pimple attacks frequently? the pimple marks stay for like 3-4 months. also now I do stay in a flat which is under construction which means there is a lot of dirt, dust, cement, paint, wood particles in the air, corridors etc. but from my teenage itself I get a lot of pimples on face and sometimes on neck and chest. is there any special cleanser or moisturiser for this type of skin conditions?

Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that the pimples you get can be due to hormonal disturbances due to PCOD . In this disease there is a high likelihood of getting pimples because of androgen excess . So I would recommend you to see an endocrinologist to see that if there is a need for starting androgen blockers like ginette 35 for this reason. Next I would suggest you to use a water based moisturiser for your self as oil based will clog your pores . For cleaning you can use a face wash that contains salicylic acid which is quite helpful in getting rid of pimples. Take care. Dr. Shruti
