Brief Answer:
Seems to be pharyngitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having mucus in throat. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any post nasal drip (sinus secretions dripping back into throat) ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be pharyngitis secondary to sinusitis.

As such, sinusitis with post nasal drip can cause sore throat (pharyngitis) and lung infection (mucus plug with wheeze).

I suggest you to follow these measures to overcome your throat issues.

1. Needs antibiotic (amoxicillin) with mucolytic (ambroxyl). Requires local doctor's prescription for these medications.

2. Do steam inhalation to clear the thick secretions from sinus openings.

3. Continue salt water gargle.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
