What Causes Persistent Tired Eyes In A 65 Year Old?

Question: I am 65 years old in very good general health. I spend time on computer, play billiards and watch TV shows. In one day, say 4 hrs computer, 2 hours billiards and 2 hours TV. My eyes feel tired at times. My prescription is very recent and ok. What should I do?

Thanks for sending your query to us.
As you say that your prescription is recent and OK,we presume that there is nothing wrong with the eyes.That leaves us with what we call as lifestyle management. I hope you eat well,multi vitamins are welcome. During your Prolonged exposure to computer give a 5minute break every 30 to 45 minutes, when you do eye movement exercise. These are no stop gap arrangements but are supposed to give you long term benefits.

Since eyes are part of body,what is good for body is good for eyes.Vitamin A,Omega3fatty acids,Vitamin B complex, all these which are good for eyes are again equally or more useful for the body as well.Good balanced diet with some supplement is very welcome for you.
