I kindly request your help by telling me how I can help a brother currently in Colombia who is having difficulties for breathing.
He is lving in XXXX, XXXX whe re the temperature is about 12 Celsius.
He feels accumulation of kind of sputum or something like that which obstructs the air to pass to his lungs.
Any good medicine or combination of them who can assist my brother to expectorate that sputum?
In general, which medicine can be used, proven effective, to attack this problem?

Avoiding smoking,if he smokes.
Avoiding ice and cold drinks
Consuming more of hot liquids
Steam inhalation twice a day.
Warm saline gargles twice a day.
With these measures your brother would be benefitted immensely.
