Brief Answer:
Cutaneous Amyloidosis: papular variant

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome again and thanks for your follow up. After getting your details and thoroughly examining your pictures I can get that you have the condition known as "Cutaneous Amyloidosis: papular variant".

To tell you simply about this condition- we have multiple types of proteins in our skin which helps in regulating skin function. Some of the time there is formation of certain abnormal proteins and when these gets deposited in the skin then the condition is known as Cutaneous Amyloidosis.

This protein of amyloid gets deposited in various manner such as thinly just in the skin known as macular variant or giving an appearance of bumps and mutiple beads which is known as papular variant.

AS I said earlier in your case it is papular variant of Cutaneous Amyloidosis. It is simple condition and there is no relation to any internal problem or any other system. So you do not get worried about any serious nature of problem.

The only two problem which most of the patients experience is - of itching and the other cosmetic appearance.

In my patient s with your kind of problem I treat them with two modalities:

1. Medical treatment- I use topical high potency steroid cream such Halobetasol to be applied at night time. A plenty of moisturization helps in alleviating itching as well reduces the flaking of the skin. An oral antihistamine is of great help in reducing itching. I generally use loratadine up to 3 times daily and then reduce it according to severity of itching.

2. Various other approaches: if the patient require highest of treatment or if the medial management is not effective then I generally go for other of the methods including chemical peeling with trichloro- acetic acid or radiofrequncy ablation.

I suggest you to meet a proper dermatologist to get the best guidance and have good follow for the same.

If treatment is followed properly you will get the best results accordingly.

I hope these information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health"
