What Causes Persistent Itching And Burning Sensation In Underarms?
Question: Have been suffering from itching burning redness under my armpit for long..doctor gave keto cream with some medicine for 10 days didn't help. Chaged to zimig 250 now with lulifin cream....doesn't seem to work for past 2 days. It smells foul in the region. No other groin areas affected. Only itchy swollen with deep gaps cuts and reddish underarms.

1 ) Tinea cruris - it is fungal infection of skin involving the body folds. Your doctor has already given you the treatment for the same. It is not helping you much so it is an unlikely possibility.
2) Erythrasma- it is bacterial infection of skin involving the armpits usually. It is characterised by red colored or hyperpigmented rash with itch at times. It is usually not associated with foul smell or cuts. So ot can be also considered as a differential but less likely.
3) XXXXXXX XXXXXXX disease. - it is a genetic disease characterised by long history of red swollen areas involving usually armpits associated with foul smelling discharge. As per details you have provided , it is the most likely possibility according to me. For this, oral or topical steroids are given under antibiotic cover.
Since these are prescription drugs so ypu should visit your doctor and share my opinion with him. He may order Skin Biopsy for you to confirm the diagnosis.
