What Causes Penile Bleeding During Arousal?
Question: hi
i have blood from my penis when aroused usually when ready to ejaculate after i pee couple times it disappears i have been to eurology several times taken cipro for 3 week had a scope in penis and ct scan i am 42 years old doctor has no clue on this. i get thsi when i aroused and then i go to pee blood comes out with blood clot .as long i pass blood clot everything is fine after that. please do help me. u can reach me at YYYY@YYYY

I am so sorry to hear about this blood that you have reported. My immediate guess is that there are possibly some fragile veins/blood vessels in the urethra that can easily bleed as pressure and tension increases especially during sex and ejaculation. If the scopes didn't find this, they they were certainly not engorged the way the do during sex as a result of increased blood inflow and decreased outflow. On another note, I will like to know for how long this has been going on and whether you have this all the times or only happens some of the times.
Treatment would probably need cauterization. This is clearly not an infection cipro will not help. However, I am not sure it is worth traumatizing a fragile urethra to cauterize veins/abnormal vasculatures because of the risk of blockage after this. Discuss this with your urologist and let's hear what they have to say.

This is happening some time. i am have been in cipro for 10 days now and i am not seeing any symptoms yet. i did masturbate but not had sex yet. before that even when i aroused i get blood now back to normal
this episode happens 4 months ago and after that this happend 20 days ago.
all MRI results are fine and my ero will continue the evaluation with cystoscopy as scheduled.

so i did had sex last night and after that i went for pee blood came out with clot
. this will went away after i drank water and urination is clear but yellow
dont know what else is causing this. i do biking so might will stop it see if it effected prostate
