Brief Answer:
Possible cause is a UTI or a fistula (connection with other organs).

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

Air from urethra might indicate presence of bacteria in the urine which produce air. That would mean a urinary tract infection. That is why your doctor has put you on meds against UTI. I suppose they have confirmed it with a urinalyses, right?

Also, one other cause of air in the urine is a communication between the bowel or vagina into the urinary bladder. Of course, that is much less likely than the cause above and also it would have other symptoms like feces in the urine, vaginal secretions, and would be visible in bladder imaging examinations.

I think that after finishing the treatment for UTI you should follow this up with your doctor, to make sure that you have healed completely.
Drink plenty of fluids to empty the bladder more frequently.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
