Brief Answer:
X-ray foot is recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your query. If you have not improved upon by conservative measure till date it is highly recommended to get the X-ray done. You may be having simple toe fracture.
Meanwhile you may do the strapping that is give support to the injured toe by tapping it to the nearby healthy toe. It should not be very tight otherwise it may lead to Increase in pain and swelling, still better get it done by your local doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care
