What Causes Painful Lump On Inside Of Upper Right Thigh?
Question: A couple of days ago I happened to feel a lump on the inside of my upper right thigh. It is below the surface and externally doesn't look like anything nor does it hurt at all. I sort of have to feel around to find it. Please tell me it's not likely cancer. I am a 63 yr old female who is in good health.

1. 2 days
2. no history of fever, trauma or infection although I did have an allergic reaction to biotin which I quit taking 5 or 6 days ago. I had a rash which cleared up with hydrocortisone.
3. no history of chronic illness, diabetes HBP or other illness.
4. I do not take any meds but some supplements like SAMe, healthy liver complex, estrogen, baby aspirin.
5. skin color is good/normal

Brief Answer:
Most probably a lipoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. Most probable differential in your case could be a lipoma. It is a benign lesion of subcutaneous fat. It can be confirmed by getting an ultrasound of the swelling done. It usually causes no harm and people let it stay, until or unless it causes some symptom or cosmetic reasons. If it is causing any symptom then you can visit hospital & get an appointment for a general surgeon. he will examine the swelling and proceed accordingly. Only treatment is surgical excision of the swelling which you can discuss with your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
