Brief Answer:
Surgeon opinion and follow his advise.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.

The most probable cause of such a lump near your right hip joint, which has gotten bigger in the last year and is now very painful can be: Infected sebaceous cyst.

The best way to get a proper diagnosis is get it examined by a Surgeon, who on clinical / physical examination can diagnosed what it is.
He/ She will also prescribe you medicines like antibiotic and the ones to reduce pain and swelling.
He would advise you surgery to cure it. This helps in two ways: 1. you get the swelling out of the body, meaning you get disease free and 2. We get a certain diagnosis by histopathology report.

If your Surgeon feels this to be something else, He may advise you the tests for the blood, urine and ultrasonography / CT scan / MRI to find the probable cause of such a swelling.

Mentioning me in detail would help me:
Since when is this swelling present? Since when has it started to pain and increase in size?
It the top of the skin red or white and on the verge of opening ?
Have you got any other symptoms like fever, difficulty in walking, inguinal lymph nodes?
What is the exact site / size of this swelling?

Hope this answer helps you to get a proper guideline as to what to do next.
