Brief Answer:
Yes. You have to visit the nearest ER.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

Yes ! You should go to the ER of the nearest hospital for a clinical assessment of the lesion you have described on your buttock. From your history, it seems to me like a cellulitis(infection of the subcutaneous tissue of the area)/an abscess. This needs to be treated at the earliest to avoid its further spread. You might have to get a few routine blood tests done in the ER including your blood sugar level.

There is nothing to scared about, but it needs a definitive treatment early, and so I would urge you to visit your ER at the earliest.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
