What Causes Painful Bumps Outside The Rectal And Constipation?
Question: I just found two bumps outside and the side of the rectal. It hurts when I try to wipe myself and when I walk. I have been constipated for two days. The poo is #1 & 2. Embarrassed to say but I think or thought it was try/hard balls of poo stuck there. So I took a laxative. I am near the toilet now. I am worried. I have to work tonight. What can I do? What is it?

It is impossible to definitively say what these "bumps" are without a physical examination; however often during bouts of constipation, extreme straining can result in hemorrhoid formation.
Also, it may be that pre-existing hemorrhoids may have become inflamed. To ease the symptoms, you may try an over the counter hemorrhoid cream and warm sitz baths/soaks.
Hopefully the laxative will start to take effect soon. You may try drinking warm water and light exercise, as these also help with colonic motility.
If you remain constipated for another day, please see your physician for a physical examination.

Oh and how will the inflammation go away? Do I need to see a dr or is the cream enough? The inflammation is getting bigger it hurts. The laxative is working now but the bump is still there

The cream may help reduce swelling if this is a hemorrhoid, however it would probably be best to see someone in person since there is progression of your symptoms. Please schedule an appointment with your physician to have a physical examination to rule out other more serious causes for the swelling and pain, such as infection or a fissure. In the meantime, try not to strain while having bowel movements, keep the area clean, and avoid sitting for prolonged periods directly on the involved area.

Hello I'm back. I went to E.R. and they said I do have hemorrhoid. Though now my rectal bleeding won't stop. I have to wear a pad. Do I have to go back to the dr for this. What can stop the bleeding?
