Brief Answer: He has UTI. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your 13 years old son has pain while urinating and his routine urine test revealed presence of leukocyte esterase and 20-40 pus cells. This is suggestive of Acute Urinary tract infection (UTI) . Please get his routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to. Please give him broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report. Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician. Ensure he drinks more water. To keep his urine dilute This will help to control dysuria(Painful Urination). Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil.

Thanks Doctor, As advised by our family physician I have given him Ceftime 250mg tablet along with Lycotel tablet. This is a 7 day course (3 days already taken)and now he is better. But still fever is there around 99.5-100 F. Is it due to UTI or may be other due to any other reason? Please advice. Thanks and Regards XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
