Brief Answer:
It is probably peptic ulcer or inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your problem as many of my patients have a similar history.
The location of the pain, its nature and the radiation of the pain to the back are all suggestive of a duodenal ulcer on the posterior wall. In such cases I advise a Gastroduodenoscopy in which the lesion can be visualized and sample taken for test. If the patient is unwilling, the next would be a Urea breath test to detect the presence of a germ called H. Pylori which produces these ulcers.
You might have also noticed that the pain is related to food and is worse with spicy food, pain killer medicines of the non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) group. Another factor which may worsen the pain is stress.
While you are waiting to see your doctor to confirm the diagnosis, antacids and certain other medicines may be taken to relieve your symptoms.
I shall be happy to answer if you have further queries.
Take care
Dr. Noble Zachariah
