Brief Answer:
Diverticulitis as most probable cause...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1. Intestines/bowels are located under rib (including lower left rib) apart spleen and ureters.

2. If your doctor has checked and found nothing (most probably by running echo and Ct-scan, then, problems related to pancreas, liver, spleen and of urinary tract are excluded.

3. Your symptoms make me think over bowel problems. You have a personal history of diverticulitis. You might not have a flare up of diverticulitis at this time, but, you might suffer its consequences.

4. I advise to :
- follow a bland diet and increase water intake until the pain subsides
- take pain relievers (e.g. OTC mephenamic acid or ask your doctor to prescribe buscopan)
- discuss with your doctor if you also need to take a course of antibiotics at the moment.

Hope it helped! Wish fast recovery!
