Brief Answer:
You can get ultrasound of the shoulder

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam,
i have studied your case and I believe you are having rotator cuff tear. These are tendon which are needed for shoulder movement. Other disease which can cause same symptoms is cervical spondylitis. This is the reason your doctor wants MRI of the shoulder and neck.
I understand that you are not able to get your MRI due to claustrophobia. I would suggest you to get ultrasound of the shoulder which will provide as good information as MRI. Also I would suggest you to get x ray of neck to see if there is any sign of spondylitis.
Till you get above mentioned investigation, I would suggest you to keep your shoulder in shoulder Arm immobilizer. Also avoid using very high pillow.
You can take Pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet for radiating pain after discussing with your doctor. If neck is hurting then a soft cervical collar can be used.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if you have any other query.
Thanks.
