What Causes Pain On The Back Side Of The Knee?

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Mar 2015
Question: I have a pain that is central to the back side of one knee. Where it bends. It came on suddenly 3 days ago. It hurts when I bend it all the way. It mostly hurts when I lower myself into a sitting position, and again when I rise to standing. It doesn't hurt to walk up or down stairs, or any other time. I've been treating it wiith ibuprophen and mentholatum rub. It's easing now but what do you believe is going on there? I believe I've had this before.
