Brief Answer:
Few things can cause this.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

This is pretty common complain than thought to be.

Common causes for this are small fissure, small piles , proctitis, just mild inflammation or a polyp.

This is common in patients with constipation. If thats the case then try oral laxatives for few days and see if symptoms improves.

If you recently you had some unusually spicy meal, then switch over to milder foods for few days.

I would suggest to eat milder non spicy food and try anal anesthetic cream for a week .If symptoms resolve , which is very likely , then no need to see the doctor.

If symptoms persist , increase or you find blood in stool , then definitely see a doctor/proctologist sooner.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
