Brief Answer:
Could be due to repetitive strain injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

I have gone through your description and feel that your symptoms could be due to repetitive strain injury of the wrist due to continuous typing and working. As the pain has reduced and I hope you do not have any swelling over the area, I would suggest you to follow these measures:
1. Analgesics like Ibuprofen three times a day after food will help you in relieving the pain.
2. Hot fomentation with hot water bag twice a day.
3. Application of analgesic gels or spray like volini or sumo over the area and cover it with crepe bandage for few days.
4. Maintain proper posture while typing. Keep your wrists straight.
5. Frequently take breaks in between work and moderately exercise your wrists.

The pain should gradually decrease by following these measures. If no improvement observed within a week or your symptoms worsens, it would be better to see an Orthopedician for evaluation and treatment accordingly.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications, will be happy to help you further.

Regards.
