Brief Answer:
may take 2 to 4 days for relief

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Any hard eg the ice/ hot or spicy foods can cause minor damage to the lining of the esophagus.

It can take 2 to 4 days for complete healing to occur.

In addition to the cepacol throat spray , you may want to consider an anti inflammatory pain killer instead of the tylenol.
They would work better to relieve some of the discomfort.

This would include ibuprofen, cataflam or naproxen.

The use of cold liquids or semisolids (yogurt , ice cream) may also help to reduce pain.

During this healing time, you should avoid solid foods (use soaps or mashed foods), use only cool or cold foods/drinks, avoid spicy foods.

If you have a history of acid reflux, you should treat it even if the symptoms are not severe. Reflux of any acid at this time would further aggravate the area.

Summary: (1)avoid foods/drinks that would aggravate problem
(2)anti inflammatory pain killer would be better
(3)continue cepacol
(4)use cool/cold food/drinks for now

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
